This is the story of Whompy the Dragon and Whalbert the boy.
Whalbert is an odd boy who grew up in the backwoods after he had been abandoned as a young child. While running through the woods, he likes to wear a black cape and pretend he is a magician.
Whalbert has one friend, a talking dragon named Whompy. Whompy enjoys the word "Whomp" (hence his name) and also is a big fan of running through the woods in a black cape and pretending he is magic as well. Whompy has some dragon issues as well though, he is unable to blow fire from his mouth. That is the reason why he too was abandoned by his dragon pack.
